Summary
Lessons From the Pasts is an important lesson for intelligence analysts as it delves into 3 high profile historical events and analyzes some of the intelligence mistakes that were made in the leadup to the event. The events that are examined are: The Second Iraq War, Pearl Harbor, and The Yom Kippur War. In each, we identify the intelligence heuristics and biases that clouded the intelligence communities judgement in the face of the available evidence. Strategies to prevent such mistakes from happening in the future are presented.
